The Crossroads Care in Greater Manchester Strategic Plan has been designed to create an environment where carers have valuable time to be themselves and the people they care for remain safe whilst pursuing their own aspirations and personal goals.
To achieve this kind of environment we will:
- offer the best quality services to carers and their loved ones in Bolton, Oldham, Rochdale, Salford, Trafford and Stockport.
- provide a range of services which support carers emotionally, practically and socially.
- ensure that all carers and people with health and social care needs throughout Bolton, Oldham, Rochdale, Salford, Trafford and Stockport have access to our services regardless of ethnicity, disability, tenure and economic status.
- ensure that we are well known and recognised as the leading non-profit-making organisation and charity offering high quality breaks for carers caring for both adults and children in Bolton, Oldham, Rochdale, Salford, Trafford and Stockport.
We believe that:
- carers deserve the right to be offered practical and emotional support to reduce the stress of caring.
- as a charity we must guard our freedom to follow carer led objectives.
- we must provide a quality service to carers that:
- delivers a wide range of services to meet carers’ needs and the needs of those they care for
- ensures carer support staff are highly trained and motivated
- achieves both internal and external quality assurance standards.
- we need continuous innovation to meet our clients’ changing needs.
Our Objectives
Through our Strategic Planning process we have designed challenging but achievable plans to realise our vision to support the people we work with, based on a number of objectives:
- to deliver an increasing number of care hours to carers and their loved ones each year.
- to deliver high quality consistent services which are tailored individually for each carer and the people they care for.
- to give current and future carers and their families in Bolton, Oldham, Rochdale, Salford, Trafford and Stockport the services they want and need.
- to work in partnership with other agencies and charities to develop new and innovative services which support carers and their loved ones in Bolton, Oldham, Rochdale, Salford, Trafford and Stockport.
- to involve and, where possible, give carers, their families and our partners the lead in making sure our services are of excellent quality, represent value for money, offer choice and foster independence.
- to develop appropriate services accessible to the whole community and be committed to responding to the diversity of carer needs presented and developing appropriate quality services for all people with care needs.
- to provide service of equal opportunity both in the provision of our services and in employment.
- to ensure financial sustainability and accountability for the scheme as a whole.
- to raise the profile of both Crossroads Care in Greater Manchester and the needs of carers and their families and loved ones.
