Crossroads Care Bolton offers a full range of services including regular breaks for carers. We can offer a support worker who will look after the person you care for whilst you have a break. We provide a minimum of one hour per week. We provide personal care, bathing or showering. We also provide specialist care for children with complex needs through to dementia and end of life care.

Our services are available to carers and people with health and social care needs of all age groups, for people with any disability or health condition.

If you think Crossroads may be able to help, we will visit you at home and, together with the person you care for, design the service that meets your respective needs.

As a carer of someone with care needs or as the person with care needs, you may be entitled to support funded by your Local Authority or you may choose to pay direct from your own money. To obtain funding from the Local Authority, please talk to your social worker or ask for a carers assessment, followed by an assessment for Direct Payments from the Local Authority Advice and Assessment Team (see details above).

Whatever your situation, you can take comfort that as a charity we care for people – not for profit.

All our support workers are fully trained in all aspects of practical care and are sensitive to the emotional pressures of caring. Their training and experience, gained over many years in most cases, means they understand what carers and those they care for need and feel. They know the simple things that matter, they do the hard jobs with a smile and they take pleasure in fitting into your life.
