Programmed and publicised events are held throughout the year and throughout the Bolton, Rochdale, Oldham, Salford, Trafford and Stockport areas. We hold a series of bespoke events that are informative, interactive and enjoyable. Coordinated by our Fundraising and Marketing Committee we actively encourage service users and staff to get involved with ideas and planning the events.
Examples from past events include the strawberry fairs held during Carers Week, evenings dinner dance, live music and various quiz nights throughout the year.
In June this year we are planning the ‘Three Peaks Challenge’ – a small group of us will be climbing Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Snowdon in 24 hours. This is to raise awareness for carers during Carers Week 2012 and also to raise vital funds for carers in our areas.
